Rethinking How Work Works
For years, I thrived in high-pressure roles—solving complex problems, driving impact, and working at full speed. I loved it.
What I didn’t love? Feeling like I was in a constant battle between work and life. Too much work, never enough presence. Too much life, never enough progress.
And, remember COVID? When we were wiping down groceries like they were biohazardous waste and treating every trip to the mailbox like a tactical mission? Meanwhile, I was also trying to lead high-stakes projects, homeschool three kids, and pretend I had it all together on Zoom.
That experience made one thing painfully clear: this wasn't sustainable—there just had to be a better way.
Fast forward to leaving my most recent role, at a company I helped build from the ground up. I worked with incredible people and learned a lot, but as the company grew, so did the complexity—more meetings, more processes, and less time for real decision-making. Travel was frequent, days were packed, and deep, focused work felt impossible. Sick days were logistical nightmares, and school holidays were survival mode. No matter how much I planned, I was always one step behind—juggling work fires, keeping my kids alive and semi-educated, and clinging to the last shred of my own sanity in the midst of constant chaos.
That’s when it hit me: it wasn’t just a rough patch—this was life, and no amount of working harder was going to make it less chaotic.
The Moment It Clicked
After spending time exploring different opportunities and paths, the last two weeks at HBS became a turning point. Between case discussions, strategy deep dives, and conversations with incredible peers, something shifted. The idea had been simmering in the background, but suddenly, everything clicked.

I realized: I don’t need to wait to build something different—I can just start.
(Side note: For those of you who know me, you know I am allllll about efficiency and productivity. If something can be streamlined, automated, or optimized, I will find a way.)
So I did.
And as a proof of AI-powered efficiency, I built the Savvyn Insights website in just two days. Because the best way to prove a point is to execute it.
An AI-First Business That Delivers AI-Driven Solutions
Savvyn Insights isn’t only built with an AI-first mindset—it’s designed to deliver AI-powered solutions that drive real impact.
An AI-first business doesn’t simply use AI tools—it fundamentally integrates AI into its strategy, operations, and value proposition. It means:
Automating repetitive tasks so I can focus on high-value work
Using AI to generate, refine, and optimize ideas
Making data-driven decisions faster and more accurately
Structuring workflows around AI augmentation rather than manual effort
Ensuring AI acts as a force multiplier for human expertise—not a replacement
But beyond that, AI isn’t just behind the scenes—it’s in the work itself.
Savvyn Insights is designed to help businesses implement AI-first strategies that cut through inefficiency, scale expertise, and deliver real insights without wasted effort. Whether it’s structuring data for AI models, optimizing workflows, or creating AI-powered content and reports, every solution is built with speed, intelligence, and efficiency at its core.
Step 1: The Business Model
I knew a few things for certain:
1️⃣ I didn’t want to build a business that required me to trade hours for money. AI-first thinking meant I could structure services in a way that scaled—without working more hours.
2️⃣ I wanted to leverage my expertise in oncology, AI, and data-driven insights—but not in a way that locked me into client Zoom calls all day. AI was the key to streamlining deliverables and minimizing wasted effort.
3️⃣ I wanted real flexibility—not just the illusion of it. I didn’t want to be constantly torn between work and family, checking emails on vacation, or feeling guilty about taking time off. My business had to work for me, not the other way around.
To validate ideas, I used an AI-first approach:
AI-driven brainstorming: Exploring market trends, analyzing competitors, and refining my ideas—fast.
Rapid research: AI helped me synthesize information instantly instead of spending days digging through reports.
Early validation: I tested business models, pricing, and offerings before committing to a direction.
That AI-first mindset allowed me to move faster and make sharper decisions—without second-guessing everything.
AI Is Not a Magic Fix—But It’s a Game Changer
Look, I know there’s no perfect fix—not even AI. Technology alone isn’t going to solve every inefficiency or magically create balance. But when used intentionally, it can remove the clutter, streamline workflows, and help people focus on the work that actually matters.
That’s exactly what I’m building with Savvyn Insights—a business designed to help companies think and operate with an AI-first approach, not just use AI as a tool.
The goal isn’t to replace people—it’s to empower them with better systems, smarter automation, and clearer insights.
What’s Next? Turning Ideas Into a Business
With my AI-first approach clear, I needed to translate strategy into execution.
In my next posts, I’ll break down:
How I used AI to brainstorm, test, and refine the business model for Savvyn Insights
What ideas got cut (including the hilarious rejects)
How AI made business validation faster and more efficient
The genesis of the name 'Savvyn'
